Shawano School Board hears from District Residents and Staff

The Shawano School board met on Monday Night and heard several comments from the District Residents about the budget and staffing issues at the Shawano School District. Some were concerned that the budget issues stem  from technology updates that were needed but not all at once. Some said they were concerned because some staff was already cut before the April 30th deadline, among those according to a social media post was four teachers, the Deans at Hillcrest Elementary and Olga Brenner Elementary. The Board also heard of a resignation of Elizabeth Henning who is a 13 year Teacher mainly at LEADS Primary School. Board Member Mart Grams  asked if he and the board were able to see the exit interviews because there is over 100 years of experience that retired in the past year, he was denied that request because it is a personnel issue and those are not made public.
