SURING, WI- The Oconto County district attorney has decided not to file charges in the alleged strip searches of students at Suring High School. A press release from the office says the searches conducted at the school are not “strip searches” as described by Wisconsin state law. School officials were reportedly searching both male and female students for vaping devices. It isn’t clear how many were searched last month. One parent says what the students did was “stupid,” but to take things this far is “disgusting.” She says the students didn’t know they could say no to the searches.
