
Robert “Bob” Lehman, age 85 of Tigerton passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at his home.
Robert Lee Lehman was born on October 20, 1936, in the Town of Germania, Shawano County, to Paul and Mary (Prahl) Lehman. Bob graduated from Tigerton High School in 1955 and he started farming at an early age. Bob was united in marriage on July 30, 1966, to Cheryl J. Griepentrog at Zion Lutheran Church, Tigerton. The couple dairy farmed in the Town of Germania for close to 40 years along with his partner and brother Herbie. His wife of 55 years preceded him in death on August 12, 2021.
Bob was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton, where he served as a church elder and ushered for many years. His strong Christian faith often led him to helping others in need. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, and Badger football or basketball games. Bob liked spending time outdoors the most, whether he was taking care of his animals, making firewood, or logging. He especially enjoyed taking his grandkids for Gator rides around the property to check out the wooded areas.
Bob’s other interests included listening to music; mainly polka bands and anything by Irish singer Danny O’Donnell. He also liked watching several TV shows like Judge Judy, The Waltons, and The Lone Ranger. But he will be remembered most as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include five children, Lori (David) Grunewald, Rob Lehman, Debbie (Kevin) Wendt, Mary (Brent) Smith, and Dennis (Holly) Lehman. There are 11 grandchildren: Jenni (Doug), Jeff, Mike (Jess), Adam (Brooke), Angie (Eddie), Emily (Jay), Kyle (fiancée Leah), Serena, Colleen, Roselyn, and Kayson. There are 8 great grandchildren: Lexi, Austin, Ethan, Gavin, Evie, Jameson, Amelia, and Marshall. There is one brother, Don (Mary) Lehman and two sisters-in-law, Leah Lehman and Bernice Lehman. He is further survived by one brother-in-law, Jay Griepentrog; two sisters-in-law, Lori Griepentrog and Ann Griepentrog; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, James Grunewald; a great granddaughter, Natalie Grunewald; two sisters, Elizabeth (Stanley) Miller and Mary Jean (Sidney) Mathes; and five brothers, Lester (Eva), Victor, Wallace, Forest (Kura), and Herbert Lehman. He was further preceded by one sister-in-law, LaVonne (Gerald) Wuske; and three brothers-in-law, Warren, Randy, and Glenn Griepentrog.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 31st at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Rev. Dean Suehring will officiate and burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church. Please consider a memorial in Bob’s memory to St. John Lutheran Church.
