Suspected Mexican Drug Cartel Member Enters Not Guilty Plea

GREEN BAY, WI – A suspected Mexican drug cartel member has entered a not guilty plea to 15 drug-related charges in Brown County.  Prosecutors say Manuel Herrera-Hernandez was free on bond from a drug case in Oconto County when he received 115 thousand dollars worth of drugs from Mexico.  Herrera-Hernandez also faces a first-degree intentional homicide charge in Oconto County.  He is accused of killing a man in an argument over drug payments and leaving the body in the Oconto Marsh Unit of the Green Bay West Shores Wildlife Area.
