Rita A. Buelter, 76, of Bowler, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Thedacare Medical Center in Shawano after a brief illness.
Rita was born on August 14, 1945, in Illinois. The daughter of Merle and Marion (Stadler) Gangler.
On June 6, 1964, Rita was united in marriage to Arthur Buelter.
Rita drove bus for 50 years for the Bowler School District. She liked to cook and take care of the birds, deer, bears and squirrels that came to her yard. She also bartended at Stoney Curve and Wright Place. Rita was always by Art’s side on the hay wagon, SAP truck and riding Harley. They would often split wood together. Rita was only allowed to split the wood as she wasn’t very good at piling it. Rita and Art loved to travel, visiting several states.
Rita is survived by her husband of 57 years, Arthur Buelter; two sisters, Marion Peters and Pat (Ron) Onesti and extended family, The Schmidt family.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home in Wittenberg. Rev. Clifford Kessen will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in the Town of Almon. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
