MADISON, WI- The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports only five percent of the state’s I-C-U beds are available right now. Hospitals in western and northwestern Wisconsin have no open intensive care beds. Officials at Wisconsin hospitals report 391 patients with COVID-19 were admitted Monday, the highest total since last December. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports that more than 63 percent of the state’s hospitals are at peak capacity. The D-H-S says more than 14-hundred patients are currently hospitalized with the virus. It has been more than 11 months since that many patients were being treated statewide.
