Teen Accused Of Attacking Woman On De Pere Trail Will Stand Trial

GREEN BAY, WI- The 17-year-old suspect accused of attacking a woman on the East River Trail in De Pere has been ordered to stand trial.  Miles Cruz is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and sexual assault.  The victim was attacked October 5^th.  Prosecutors say the teenager’s D-N-A was found on one of the woman’s fingernails and her D-N-A was found on his clothes.  A Brown County Court commissioner denied a motion for dismissal by the defense Wednesday.  Cruz will be tried as an adult.
