DE PERE, WI – (Wisconsin Radio Network) – Police were called by a man looking for his wife along the East River Trail Tuesday morning. The man said he went looking for his wife and infant child after they were gone longer than expected. He found the baby lying in a grassy area just before 11:30 a-m. Searchers found the woman about 40-to-50 yards away. She survived the attack, but her medical condition isn’t known. Police haven’t said if it was a sexual assault and they haven’t announced any arrests. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
