CLINTONVILLE, WI- Due to police activity around Clintonville High School, the School District placed the district on lock out Wednesday afternoon.
Superintendent Troy Kuhn said he got word that Clintonville Police were perusing a person or persons of interest and requested that the school go into lockout mode.
“We changed it from soft lockdown to lockout, just to eliminate concern,” Kuhn said. “It really is the same thing.”
Kuhn said during a lockout, nobody is allowed to enter or leave the school building. Classes still go on as normal, with the exception of taking a class like phy-ed outside. Kuhn said students and staff can move around the inside of the building to move from class to class. He said students and staff were not in danger.
