SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano School Board will have their regular board meeting as well as the annual meeting on Monday.
The regular board meeting will take place at 5:30 at the Shawano High School Auditorium with the annual meeting to follow.
The agenda for the regular board meeting includes a discussion on the COVID-19 update. Last Friday, the School Board voted 5-2 in favor of making masks required for staff and students at all schools in the district until October 31.
The agenda Monday also includes a restraint and seclusion report and a resolution to change the times of the school board meetings.
The annual meeting is scheduled to take place at 6:30pm. That includes the presentation of the budget by the Director of Finance and Business Operations, the setting of the tax levy by the community and a presentation of educational events.
The school board will also be asking the community tax payers to approve the sale of Lake Drive School on approximately 1.7 acres of land in the Town of Wescott which is no longer needed by the school district. The community will also be voting on annual salaries for school board members or
an amount for each school board meeting the member actually attends.
Those in attendance for the annual meeting will be the voting public, which includes all tax-payers in the Shawano School District.
