OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, – Baiting and feeding deer is now banned in Outagamie County. The Wisconsin DNR says a farm-raised deer tested positive for chronic wasting disease.
The three year ban will begin on October 1st and baiting and feeding will also be banned for two years in Calumet County as state law requires baiting and feeding to be banned in counties that are within a 10-mile radius of where the animal was located.
With the new ban, baiting and feeding will only be allowed in Brown, Manitowoc, Kewaunee and Door counties in Northeast Wisconsin.
