TOWN OF TOWNSEND, WI – The Oconto County Emergency Dispatch Center received a call of a motorcycle accident on Highway 32 near N Surprise Lake Road in the Town of Townsend on Thursday morning.
The call came in around 6:48 AM and reported a motorcycle, operated by a 63-year-old New London, WI male was traveling
southbound on Highway 32, when he failed to negotiate a corner and crashed.
The driver of the motorcycle died from his injuries. The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending notification of family. Alcohol and speed are believed to be a factor at this time. An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office.
