
Kenneth “Kenny” Schreiber, Sr., age 81 of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, August 24th, 2021, at a local assisted living facility. Born on February 3rd, 1940, in the City of Tomah, he was the son of the late Martin and Dorothy (Bruette) Schreiber. In 1958, Kenny enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska until his honorable discharge. He went on to work for many years as a truck driver. Country music was his passion, and he spent many years of his life playing in the band “The Kenny Arnold Show”. He was also a member of The Assembly of God Church in Morgan.
Kenny is survived by his 8 children; Tammy (Juan) Cherney, Dick Schreiber, Ken Schreiber Jr., Jerry (Jamie) Schreiber, Shane Schreiber, Tyler Schreiber, Chad Lamberies and Kylie Morgan-Schreiber; his 6 siblings, Merlin Schreiber, Shirley Hoffman, Shelby (Dorothy) Schreiber, Sharon (Allen) Ebert, Jean Grosskopf, Lonnie (Joan) Schreiber as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Dorothy (Bruette) Schreiber; his son Steven Wilson, his sister Betty Mirenda, his sister-in-law Janice Schreiber, and his brother-in-law Lyle Grosskopf.
Funeral services will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 31st, 2021. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service. Family viewing will be at 10:30 am. The funeral service will be followed by a parish wake. Burial will be in the Gresham Public Cemetery.
