MADISON, WI (Wisconsin Radio Network) – De Pere State Senator Andre Jacque has tested positive for COVID-19. The Republican was being treated for pneumonia at a hospital Monday. He’s one of the most conservative members of the Wisconsin Legislature and a vocal opponent of mask and vaccine mandates. The reports are that Jacque tested positive last week. He had testified without wearing a mask at a packed Capitol hearing Wednesday. A spokesperson says the lawmaker has been mostly asymptomatic but is suffering fatigue.
