WAUPACA, WI- A Waupaca man has been taken into custody after allegations that he sexually assaulted a 12-year-old.
63-year-old Richard Klimek was arrested on July 14th. The incident dates back to July 7.
A 12-year-old told Sheriff Deputies that she was sexually assaulted by Klimek numerous times at Farmer Genes Campground. Klimek is a seasonal camper there.
A hearing on July 15 resulted in probable cause to hold Klimek on a $25,000 cash bond.
Klimek faces two counts of first-degree sexual assault, intercourse with a person under 12; one count of first-degree sexual assault, intercourse with a person under 13; repeated sexual assault of the same child, at least three violations of first-degree sexual assault; and child enticement, sexual contact.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information, or anyone else that may be a victim to contact them.
Marion Police Department is assisting in the investigation.
