Menominee Indian Tribe Responds To CDC Developments

KESHENA, WI-Health officials with the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin are reporting zero COVID-19 diagnoses at the Menominee Tribal Clinic in the last seven days.

The case rate for Menominee County for the last two weeks is up slightly.

Those who choose not to get vaccinated should continue wearing a mask in public.

45 percent of Menominee Countie’s eligible residents have at least one COVID-19 dose and just over 40 percent have both doses.

“Nationally, children are the fastest growing group of cases,” Dr. Amy Slagle said in a recent press release.

Health officials say they want that number to be 70 percent or higher.

More information about the tribe’s approach to the latest developments was posted by the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin.

FULLY VACCINATED PEOPLE no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.
Please keep in mind that Menominee Tribe has an existing Emergency Order #3 that requires masks, social distancing, and temperature checks.
Masks do work, and they are still recommended for people not vaccinated. Governments, businesses, healthcare settings, and schools may choose to continue requiring a mask, so we ask you to continue to be respectful of their safety regulations.
