
Dennis Daskam, age 61 of Bonduel, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. Dennis was born in Shawano on February 6, 1960, he is the son of the late Robert and June (Hafemann) Daskam. Dennis graduated from Bonduel High School in 1978. He worked on the family farm and worked at the former Mid-County Cooperative in Shawano. After selling the farm, Dennis drove bus for the School District of Bonduel and during the summer worked for Seneca Canning Company in Gillett operating a bean picker. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, playing cards, dartball and bowling. Dennis was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Town of Washington where he was a Sunday School Teacher, an Elder, Church Chairman, held various counsel positions, and sung in the church choir. During his illness Dennis lived with his sister and family in Oshkosh and spent the last year at Pleasant Park Place Assisted Living in Ripon. Dennis was a quiet man who had a heart of gold, he was a good listener, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Dennis is survived by his sister, Sandy (Kevin) Dordel of Oshkosh; brother, Steve (Wanda) Daskam of Cecil; three nephews, Chad Dordel and Jason (Breiley) Dordel of Oshkosh, and Ryan (Kaelynn) Dordel of Shawano; one niece, Melissa Daskam; and one great-nephew, Noah Dordel. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and June Daskam, as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A funeral service for Dennis will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Town of Washington with Rev. Steven Pockat officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of services.
The family would like to give special thanks to all the doctors and staff at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee and Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh who took such good care of Dennis throughout his three-year illness, and to all the staff at Pleasant Park Place in Ripon for all their care.
