SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano School District will hold a traditional summer school session again this year. The classes will run from June 14th to July 15th, Monday-Thursday from 8:00-1:00 each day. This will be in person with COVID risk mitigations such as smaller classes, masking indoors, use of outdoor spaces, and staff/student self-checks.
A similar schedule of classes that were offered in 2019 will again be offered this year. There will be new offerings for STEM, Spanish, Engineering, Coding, and reading. There will also be virtual offerings for interested students. Each Friday there will be an optional field trip to Shawano County Park to learn how to sail.
The district will also be offering a post-session from August 2nd – August 12th (Monday through Thursday) for students entering 6th grade or beginning high school to get a head start. It is going to be an awesome summer in the Shawano School District!
Shawano Summer School is available and free for any student grades 3K-8 (2020-2021 school year) who is currently enrolled in the Shawano School District or who lives within the district boundaries. The catalogs will be available in two weeks for parents and students to browse.
