
SEYMOUR, WI- 68 ranked wrestlers, including the number one state-ranked wrestler in 10 of the 14 weight classes will take the mats in Seymour. The top two wrestlers from each bracket will move on to State.

Freedom does not have any top-ranked wrestlers this year, but they qualified five wrestlers. Coach Justin Lancaster said coming out of a different Regional made it tougher for the Irish to get higher numbers as they had to face conference teams to get there.
At 106, New London’s Damian Polanco will look to make a run to state. Polanco is ranked 5th. Garrett Ganter (6-5) of Oconto Falls is also in the field along with top-ranked Easton Woracheck of Luxemburg-Casco.
At 113, Brett Soquet of Denmark is the lone unbeaten wrestler in the bracket and is in a group of 5 other ranked wrestlers including his first-round opponent Honorable Mention ranked Wyatt Magolski (9-2) of New London. Noah Gorecki (2-1)of Seymour is ranked 11th and Graeson Pankratz (10-1) of Oconto Falls is ranked 7th.
At 120, top-ranked Wyatt Kaczrowski (10-0) of Seymour is wrestling in his fourth Sectional Tournament. The field includes two other unbeaten wrestlers standing in his way of a trip to State. Nathan Gellerup (7-0) of Nekoosa Port Edwards and Brody Hart (14-0) of Winneconne is in the running for a trip to State.
At 126, three area wrestlers enter the tournament ranked. Carsten McHugh (9-2) of Freedom is ranked 7th. Max Ronsman (13-0) of Luxemburg-Casco and Ryan Tomazevis (10-0) of Seymour is the only unbeaten wrestlers and maybe chasing top-ranked Caleb Meunier of Winneconne for the title.
At 132, Nathan VandeHey (10-1) of Freedom is in strong contention. VandeHey is ranked 3rd and handed top-ranked Meunier of Winneconne his only loss of the season. Luke Trepanier (7-4) of Oconto Falls and Caleb Delebreau (8-2) of Luxemburg-Casco are ranked 7th and 8th respectfully.
At 138, Kaiden Koltz (12-0) of Wrightstown is top-ranked, but the number 2 ranked wrestler in the State may be waiting for him in the finals. Ethan Schwartz (12-3) of Denmark faces unbeaten Owen Suennen (10-0) of Marinette in the first round. Mason Kloehn (8-1) of New London, and HM Samuel Dudley (5-3) of Seymour represent the area.
At 145, Matty Bianchi looks to return to State and is the favorite among 6 ranked wrestlers. The field also includes Nick Alexander (8-4) of Wrightstown and Blake Linsmeyer (7-3) of Seymour.
At 152 there are only 6 wrestlers. Bailey Thelen (10-0) of Two Rivers and Ben Bredeal (11-1) of Freedom earn a bye into the Semifinals.
At 160, Reece Manteuffel (8-3) of Freedom enters ranked 4th. The rest of the field for the area includes Damien Stilen (4-3) of New London, Trevor Schindel (6-5) of Oconto Falls, and Lucas Leisgang (5-5) of Seymour.
At 170, Troy Nabbefeld (11-0) enters as the highest-ranked wrestler in the bracket and one of two unbeaten. Javon Leisgang of Seymour (7-3) is also ranked.
At 182, two-time State Champion Clayton Whiting of Oconto Falls leads the way. 6 of the wrestlers in the bracket are ranked, Whiting is the only unbeaten.
At 195, 7 wrestlers are ranked any many have a chance to come out as one of the two state qualifiers. Sam Galoff (9-0) of Brillion is the highest ranked at number 2.
At 220, ranked wrestlers include #3 Mac Strand (11-1) of Xavier, and #6 Kyle Kroll (9-4) of Luxemburg-Casco. No wrestlers in the bracket are without a loss.
At 285, top-ranked Quincy Klister (12-1) of Wrightstown and #6 Travis LeGrave (12-1) of Luxemburg-Casco may be on course to meet in the finals. Jacob Earle (12-0) of Xavier is also in the mix and James Schaefbauer (6-0) of Nekoosa/Port Edwards is also unbeaten. Only two of the four can qualify.

DIVISION 3
VALDERS, WI- The Valders Sectional has 68 state-ranked wrestlers on the mats Saturday, three are top-ranked.
The area includes four wrestlers from Bonduel. Coach Chris Rank says he feels good about the chances for all four.
Coleman qualified 13 wrestlers which Coach Kevin Casper says puts them into contention for another team state opportunity, but only have two qualify from each bracket may have an impact on that.
Coach Chris Rank adds that the Sectional is as tough as it gets in D3.
Add Manawa in the mix, they qualified 7 of their 7 wrestlers from the Regional and all seven were Regional Champs. Coach Brad Johnson says batting .1000 is not bad.
Johnson agrees that some really good kids are not going to make it to State with the WIAA only taking two from each bracket instead of the top three.

At 106, Coleman’s Cameron Kimmell (6-2) is Honorable Mention ranked. The weight class includes five ranked wrestlers.
At 113, 2020 State Qualifier Kevin Klemm (12-0) of Manawa is ranked 2nd and maybe a favorite. Ray LeMieux (10-1) of Coleman also qualified for State last year and is in the mix. The two could meet in the Semifinals Saturday. Andres Sanchez (9-2) of Wittenberg-Birnamwood is also in the field.
At 120 enters the other Klemm brother. Colten Klemm (9-0) looks to return to State as he is the only unbeaten wrestler in the bracket. Hutson Kane (11-1) of Crandon and Brady Gross (9-3) of Coleman will offer some competition.
At 126, Conference rivals Pierson Potrykus (10-1) of Wittenberg-Birnamwood, Jericho Helser (9-1) of Shiocton and Luis Lagunes (10-2) of Bonduel all enter the field with postseason experience. Only two of three can qualify for State but, 12th ranked Peyton Schulke (4-1) of Manawa and unbeaten Bryer Christel (5-0) of Reedsville are also in the mix.
At 132, 6 of the wrestles are ranked including top-ranked Jack Severin of Kewaunee. Dakotah Olson (9-3) of Wittenberg-Birnamwood and Chance Gruber (6-4) of Coleman wrestle each other in the first round.
138 may be the toughest bracket in the tournament. 6 of the wrestlers are ranked, including #6 Jayson Toellner (13-1) of Bonduel, #7 Will Bieber (6-5) of Coleman, and #9 Bryan Griffin (11-0) of Manawa. Griffin wrestles Austin Worzalla (9-5) of Wittenberg-Birnamwood in the first round.
At 145, top-ranked Karson Casper (11-0) of Coleman has two other ranked wrestlers in the bracket. One of which is Honorable Mention ranked Tyson Bogacz (11-2) of Bonduel who could see Casper again in the Finals.
Max Sokolski (15-0) of Bonduel is the highest-ranked wrestler at 152. He will wrestle #9 Wyatt Easker (12-2) of Wittenberg-Birnamwood in the first round. Other area wrestlers include HM Colin Moser (8-3) of Manawa and #7 Owen Kinziger (8-3) of Coleman.
At 160, area wrestlers include #8 Peter Kuchta (10-0) of Coleman, the only unbeaten wrestler in the bracket. Honorable Mention ranked Max Meyerhofer (9-2) of Weyauwega-Fremont and Colten Schuh (8-3) of Shicoton are also in the field.
At 170, Tyler Blanchard (9-2) of Coleman is ranked 2nd and looks to make another deep run. Shiocton Sophomore Dion Helser (7-3) is also in the mix and faces Bryce Bartel (11-1) of Manawa in a battle of honorable mention ranked wrestlers in the first round.
At 182, Ben Strehlow (10-1) of Weyauwega-Fremont is ranked #3 and maybe a favorite along with Cole Klimek (9-3) of Coleman. No wrestlers in the bracket are without a loss.
At 195, area wrestlers include #5 Coby DenRuyter (9-2) of Coleman, HM Skylor Maynard (4-5) of Weyauwega-Fremont, and #8 Dylan Larsen (8-3) of Shiocton. It also includes Kenewin Dickenson of Menominee Indian (9-0) as the only perfect wrestler in the bracket.
At 220, the field includes unbeaten and top-ranked Cole Ebert of Reedsville. David Gauderman (13-1) of Wittenberg-Birnamwood looks to give him a run and could meet in the finals. Isreal Sanchez (6-2) of Shiocton is HM and Brody Zahn (8-2) of Coleman is 5th ranked.
At 285, two area wrestlers are ranked and in contention. #3 Spencer Karban (10-1) of Coleman and #4 Andrew Elmhorst (11-1) of Manawa were both Regional Champions. Saswaen Shawanokasic (9-2) of Menominee Indian, Cody Steinbach (5-1) of Weyauwega-Fremont are also in the field.
