WAUPACA, WI- Waupaca Police have arrested a man that is believed to have shot his girlfriend.
Police say dispatch received a call late Monday night from a man admitting that he did it.
Police were able to locate the vehicle and the man took over. After a brief vehicle pursuit and a brief standoff with officers, the man was taken into custody.
Responding officers reported locating a handgun at the scene and also located the woman who suffered a gunshot wound.
The woman’s condition is unknown, but the police say the public is not in danger.
