
Orville A. Hartleben, age 89, of Shawano, left this world to be with his Savior, on Monday, February 17, 2020 at his home. Orville was born on October 6, 1930, in Shawano County to the late Walter and Lillian (Kunzak) Hartleben. He graduated from Bonduel High School in 1948. Orville was united in marriage to Ruth Hartwig on October 21, 1950 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Town of Washington. He worked at FWD in Clintonville for many years. He and Ruth owned and operated Shawano News and Liquor for 31 years. He was a skilled builder and craftsman and loved to take Ruth out dancing. Orville was a gentle soul with a great sense of humor, he loved whistling and telling jokes. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family and having fun with his children and grandchildren.
Orville is survived by: his wife, Ruth; his children, Donna Pollack of Illinois and Steven (Sue) Hartleben of Arizona; seven grandchildren, Michelle, William, Elizabeth, Christopher, Stacy, Joseph and Vinnie; three great grandchildren, Oliver, Gabby and Quinton and two siblings, Raymond Hartleben of Antigo and Lorayne (Iversen) of Oregon. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, a daughter Diane Buchert and a brother Wayne Hartleben.
Funeral services for Orville will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Swedberg Funeral Home, 518 W. 5th St., in Shawano, with Rev. Steve Conradt officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service.
