SHAWANO, WI- On Senior Night in Shawano, Senior Carter Weisnicht became the 7th boys basketball player in school history to eclipse the 1000 career point mark.
Weisnicht needed 26 points coming into the game and it took until the final minute of the game to get it. Needing three points, Carter was fouled during a late lay-up and drew the foul. He hit the free throw to start the celebration. The Hawks lost a heart breaker to West De Pere 56-55.
It was just another game, and they had a good defensive team. I had to work for that one,” Weisnicht said after the game. “It feels good but I have to thank all my teammates and all my coaches through the year.”
