TOWN OF MUKWA, WI – The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department rescued a snowmobiler that fell in the open water of the Wolf River Friday morning.
Deputies responded to the area near County X in the Town of Mukwa for a person in distress and located a male that was clinging to the edge of ice.
An ice rescue was completed and the man was brought to shore and taken to the hospital.
Sheriff Officials are advising not traveling on the Wolf River due to unstable ice conditions and open water.
