BONDUEL, WI – 2019 was a record setting year for the Bonduel Scholarship Chili Fundraiser and organizers feel 2020 has the potential to be even bigger.
Laura Gloede with the committee says they once again expect a good turnout Friday night.
“Last year we were able to give out twenty-six $1,500 dollar scholarships.”
One of the big attractions this year, according to Gloede is one of the prizes.
“A huge fire ring with the Packers and Brewers on it.”
The event is an annual event that in recent years switched form a fall event that is associated with football to a winter event that includes a home basketball game.
Tonight Bonduel Boys play Weyauwega-Fremont.
“We usually have well over 200 people that come and have dinner with us and then walk through the silent auction.”
She says the chili is always a favorite.
“All you can eat Chili and we have Grilled Cheese sandwiches that are homemade and of course drinks.”
The event on Friday runs from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m and it is followed by the basketball game.
Proceeds benefit the Bonduel Class of 2020.
