CLINTONVILLE, WI – Clintonville Police responded to a domestic disturbance Thursday morning on Anne Street and found that a man suffered a series of small stab wounds.
“We were dispatched to a possible domestic between a male and female who resided together,” said Clintonville Police Chief Craig Freitag.
Chief Freitag says the call came in from a woman who said she was being threatened with a knife, but officers learned something different.
“The officer learned that allegedly the female and threatened the male individual with the knife and also allegedly made contact with his shoulder area with the knife,” he said. “The male party stated that a knife was involved and the female allegedly poked him several times with the knife in the shoulder area.”
Police determined that the two were arguing.
“The female was very intoxicated and she was arrested.”
The man refused medical treatment and the woman was taken into custody for domestic violence battery, and injury by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon.
