Lois M. Wright, age 85, formerly of Suring, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, January 16, 2020 in Shawano.
Lois was born on January 28, 1934 in the Town of How, to the late Frank and Nora (Schuettpelz) Jansen. She lived her life in Suring where she went to school and graduated from Suring High School in 1952. On September 11, 1954, Lois was united in marriage to Eugene T. Wright at St. John Lutheran Church-Hayes. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2018. Lois worked at the Red Owl in Suring, TMJ’s in Gillett, Suring Woodland Village Nursing Home, and Suring Child Care Center. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church-Hayes, and taught Sunday school there for 49 years. She enjoyed cooking, taking photos, and gardening.
Survivors include her children, Randy (Mary) Wright of Shawano, Rhonda (Vincent) DeCleene of Denmark, and Richard Wright of Shawano; her grandchildren, Christopher (Jamie) Wright, Matthew (Autumn) Wright, Bryan Wright, Bradley Wright, Daniel (Shelley) DeCleene, James (Nicole) DeCleene, Michael (Olivia) DeCleene, Erik (Ashley) Wright, Ryan (Erin) Wright, and Brianna Wright; seventeen great-grandchildren, Cora, Ella, Wyatt, Brandon, Connor, Noah, Brooklyn, Brody, Willem, Gavin, Miles, Hudson, Maverick, Averi, Addilynn, Myles, and Brody; and her sister, Ruby (Marvin) Schneider, all of whom will always love and miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Baby Boy Wright, in 1964, and her sister, Ruth (Lee) Schuettpelz.
A funeral service for Lois M. Wright will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church-Hayes, 8905 St. John Road, Suring. Pastor Nick Buchholz will officiate. Burial will take place in the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery-Hayes. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at the church and continue until the time of service.
