WAUPACA, WI – A New London man has been released on a $1000 cash bond following a felony drunk driving charge in Waupaca County. 52-year-0ld Terrance Meloy Jr. has been charged with a 6th-offense operating while intoxicated charge. He was arrested Friday night. Meloy allegedly was involved in a hit and run in New London. Authorities found his damaged car at his home and he later admitted to striking the other vehicle and driving away. He also admitted to being intoxicated at the time. He has five prior OWI convictions that date as far back as the 90’s. Meloy could face up to ten years in prison if convicted.
