PLOVER, WI – A Tigerton man is facing charges after an alleged hit and run and fleeing from an officer.
22-year-old Kyle B. Erickson was in Marinette County court on Monday facing felony charges from an incident that took place on Saturday December 21.
Witnesses reported that a crash occurred on Cty N and Cty D and there were injuries.
Deputies were told that the driver of a black Ford Ranger fled the scene on foot.
Witnesses helped locate tracks on the north side of Cty N and some had blood in them.
Deputies called off the search when they realized that the suspect was getting pushed further back into the woods.
Witnesses then reported a man walking on Cty D and footprints led to a building where Erickson surrendered.
He told deputies that that he was driving the truck and fled because he was scared.
Court records show that Erickson was cited for failure to notify police of an accident and hit and run back in July as well.
A preliminary hearing will take place in Marathon County in March.
