GREEN BAY, WI – Five people have been sentenced for the illegal cutting and selling of trees from the Menominee Indian Reservation.
42-year-old Dugan Webster of Shawano was sentenced to 20 months, 49-year-old Arthur Fish of Keshena was sentenced to 18 months, 49-year-old Chauncey Webster Jr. of Neopit was sentenced to one year and a day, 41-year-old Derrin Webster of Neopit was sentenced to seven months and Melvin Caldwell Jr. of Neopit was sentenced to three months.
The men were logging trees for Menominee Tribal Enterprises and cut down extra trees and unauthorized trees and sold them for more than $408,000 dollars between 2012 and 2018.
