WAUPACA, WI – A New London man has been charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide after an alleged stabbing last month. 37-year-old Jason Oertel is being held on a 50-thousand dollar cash bond.
According to the criminal complaint, Oertel allegedly stabbed another man in the abdomen and rib area on the evening of November 21.
According to the report, Oertel told people that he stabbed someone and even was reported to have passed the knife around at a local tavern.
Oertel is facing up to 60 years in prison if convicted.
