SHAWANO, WI – Now that Thanksgiving meals have been prepared, what do you do with all of the turkey leftovers?
Angie Bistoff of Angie’s Main Cafe in Shawano says other than just simply reheating everything, you can keep it real simple, but still have a different meal.
“The easiest thing to do with that turkey is to make turkey sandwiches,” Bistoff said.
One option for a different sandwich is a turkey florentine.
“That is just adding the turkey with some spinach and it is healthy too.”
Bistoff says if you want to get a little more creative you can do turkey dumpling soup, or a turkey pot pie.
“The thing about turkey is that it is much like chicken, so think what you can do with chicken and you can easily replace that for turkey.”
One other option is to put leftover stuffing, potatoes, veggies, and turkey in a casserole or hot dish meal for the oven.
“Just be sure to heat it to the proper temperature for reheating food and you are good to go.”
