On Thursday, November 21, 2019 about 9:15 p.m., Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 10 eastbound at Old 49 Road in the Town of Fremont in Waupaca County.
The initial investigation at the scene indicated that a car pulling out from the stop sign on Old 49 Road was struck by a van traveling eastbound on Highway 10. The driver of the car (59 year old female from Mosinee) was pronounced dead at the scene by Waupaca County Medical Examiner’s Office. The operator of the van (43 year old male from Green Bay) and his passenger (30 year old male from Green Bay) were uninjured.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Weyauwega Police Department, Fremont Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Fremont-Wolf River Fire Department, Fremont Ambulance, and the Waupaca County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting with traffic crash reconstruction.
This incident remains under investigation at this time.
