Team Teddy of Wisconsin is a student-run non-profit organization composed of over 150+ middle and high school students dedicated to providing plush animal building experiences to children suffering from a variety of serious ailments throughout the Wisconsin hospital system and beyond.
To help build upon this mission, Team Teddy of Wisconsin is hosting a fundraiser at a Pulaski High School boys basketball game called “Shooting for Shaw.” This event is designed to benefit Pulaski community member and wife of Pulaski High School’s boys basketball coach Amy Saw as she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
This event will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019, from 6:00-9:00PM, and is open to the community. This is also youth night for the Red Raider boys basketball program. The band will perform.
There will be “Shooting for Shaw” bandannas and glow sticks, in addition to t-shirts, available for purchase for Pulaski Community School District students and staff ahead of time, as well as at the event for community members.
Team Teddy will be holding its standard root beer float sale, plus a “miracle minute dash-for-cash” during halftime of the basketball game. There will be multiple Team Teddy members scattered throughout the bleachers holding cans in which people can offer donations to the Shaw family. Additionally, there will be several raffle baskets at the event.
Team Teddy of Wisconsin is hoping to have a great show of community members to support a worthy cause. The entirety of the proceeds will be donated to the Shaw family.
