Deer Hunter Widows’ Weekend Event Boasts Unique, Local Crafters
WAUPACA, Wis. – Nov. 8, 2019 – Returning for the 17th year, the Winter Classic Art & Craft Show will again provide entertainment and shopping during Deer Hunter Widows’ Weekend on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Par 4 Resort (201 Foxfire Drive, Waupaca, Wis.).
“The holidays are just around the corner and there’s no better time to get a start on your shopping than at this year’s Winter Classic Art & Craft Show,” said Barbara Johnson, co-founder, Winter Classic Art & Craft Show. “We’re excited to continue our long-standing tradition of helping turn deer hunting weekend into something for non-hunters, too.”
As part of Deer Hunter Widows’ Weekend, the Winter Classic Art & Craft Show joins other local businesses and craft shows for a shopping extravaganza. The Round Robin Punch Card and Deer Widows Map, which will be available at participating locations in the Waupaca area like the Winter Classic Art & Craft Show, offers those who will shop ‘til they drop over the weekend to play and win prizes.
“The Round Robin Punch Card gives the weekend an extra challenge for shoppers by rewarding them for supporting local businesses and crafters,” said Johnson.
Since it began in 2002, more than 20,000 people have flocked to the Winter Classic Art & Craft Show. The show boasts more than 30 vendors, with people selling a variety of homemade items, including jewelry, yarn crafts, wood decor and tables, fleece critter hats, homemade soaps and spa items, rugs, fine art originals, and barn wood signs, among others.
