Officials with Marathon County say building a multi-department facility on the city’s north side will improve efficiency. The county Infrastructure Committee gave its approval Thursday to spending two-point-two-million dollars on the project. Three locations have been chosen as possibilities. An independent study helped lead the county to its decision to locate the highway, parks, maintenance, medical examiner and emergency management departments in one place.
