On Thursday, October 31, 2019, the Clintonville Police Department, in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Marion Police Department conducted a Criminal Interdiction Traffic Detail in and around the City of Clintonville. The goal of this detail is to deter and ultimately stop any criminal activity moving around and through the City of Clintonville.
During this Interdiction detail there were, 7 Clintonville Officers, 2 Marion Officers, and 4 Wisconsin State Troopers assigned to the detail. Officers conducted 28 Traffic Contacts resulting in 21 Citations, 23 Warnings, 8 Arrests for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, 1 Operating while under the influence of Drugs, and an arrest in relation to the E 12th Street search warrant from October 30. Drugs are transported on the highways and roadways in and through Clintonville. Criminal Traffic Interdiction is a specialty focus on traffic to locate and intercept the flow of drugs and other criminal activity through Clintonville.
The Clintonville Police Department is continually and actively making all efforts to deter and stop the flow of narcotics and criminal activity from entering the city. This traffic detail is one of many ways to achieve that goal.
