On Tuesday, October 29, at 5:48 am, Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a 911 call of a semi rollover on U.S. Highway 10 west of W. Fulton St. in the city and county of Waupaca.
The Waupaca Police Department, Waupaca
County Sheriff’s Department, Waupaca Fire Department, and Gold Cross Ambulance initially responded to the scene.
Based on the initial investigation, the semi was traveling westbound on U.S Highway 10 when it lost control and rolled onto its side blocking both westbound lanes. The semi was then struck by two separate pickup trucks that were also traveling westbound and were unable to stop in time. The semi driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Waupaca County Coroner’s Office. The
other two drivers were uninjured.
Wisconsin State Patrol responded to complete the Traffic Crash Reconstruction.
No further details of this incident are being released at this time as the investigation is on-going.
