Governor Tony Evers is scheduling a May 12th special election for Wisconsin’s Seventh Congressional District. The primary election is set for February 18th. A conflict between state and federal election laws required the governor to change the dates for both the primary and general elections. Evers is also calling for Assembly passage of a Senate bill which requires the Wisconsin Elections Commission to reimburse counties and municipalities for costs associated with special elections. Three Republicans and two Democrats are running for former Congressman Sean Duffy’s seat. Nominations papers are due by December 2nd
