On Thursday, October 10th, 2019, at 7:54pm the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center was notified of a two vehicle crash on US Highway 45 at Lakeshore Road, Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County.
Through investigation and witness statements, it was determined a passenger car operated by a 72 year old male, from Clintonville, WI was stopped on Neitzke Road at US Highway 45. The passenger car traveled onto US Highway 45 into the path of a northbound van, operated by a 69 year old female, from Birnamwood, WI. The 6 occupants of the van were transported to Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, WI. The 72 year old male, from Clintonville, WI, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Names of the victims are not being released at this time.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the City of Clintonville Police Department, City of Marion Police Department, Clintonville Fire Department, Clintonville Area Ambulance, Marion First Responders, Wisconsin State Patrol, Waupaca County Medical Examiner and Waupaca County Highway Department.
