It turns out that the police in Wisconsin can arrest you for O-W-I even if the vehicle you’re operating is a lawnmower. A state appeals court ruled that a Rhinelander man was properly charged with his fourth O-W-I after he was caught driving his lawn mower home from a tavern. Attorneys for Keith Shoeder tried to argue that a riding mower was an all-terrain vehicle, which would have different penalties than operating a motor vehicle. The 3rd District Court of Appeals disagreed and upheld the ruling from Oneida County court.
