Preliminary hearings are scheduled for next week for two people involved in a shooting which happened during what authorities think was a drug deal. Julia Appleyard and Kaiden Bemowski made their first appearances in Marathon County Court Friday. Investigators say Appleyard drove her son to a drug deal in Wausau. Bemowski is accused of opening fire on them. No other names were released, but deputies say two people involved in the incident were minors.
