Release from Shawano Police Chief Dan Mauel:
“On September 16, 2019, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Shawano police officers, along with Shawano County deputies, executed a drug search warrant in the 600 block of E. Schurz St. A 31-year-old Shawano man and a 31-year-old Shawano woman were taken into custody. Both parties were taken to the Shawano jail and each are being held on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and bail jumping. We are not releasing the names at this time because no formal charges have been issued.”
“On September 16, 2019, just before 11 p.m., a person reported they were robbed by a man in the 1100 block of E. Richmond St. The person reported the man displayed a handgun. The man had dark hair, a medium build and was wearing a dark hoodie and beanie. The incident is under investigation and no other information will be released at this time. We do not believe the incident was a random act though. No injuries were reported.”
