The 2 Bear Creek Men involved in a roll crash in Waupaca County have now been identified. They are:
Driver: Cord Guyette, age 24, Bear Creek
Deceased passenger: Cory Guyette, age 25, Bear Creek
On Sunday, September 15, 2019 about 5:58 p.m., Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office received a
911 call of a one vehicle rollover crash on County Highway T at Nicolai Road in the Town of
Lebanon in Waupaca County. Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, Manawa Fire Department,
and Manawa Ambulance initially responded to the scene.
A southbound pickup truck failed to negotiate a turn, overturned, and came to rest in the ditch.
The passenger of the truck (age 25, male, Bear Creek) was ejected from the truck and
pronounced dead at the scene by the Waupaca County Medical Examiner’s Office. The driver
(age 24, male, Bear Creek) of the truck was extricated from the truck and transported by Theda
Star Medical Helicopter to Theda Care Medical Center of Neenah. The extent of his injuries is
not known at this time.
Wisconsin State Patrol responded to complete a traffic crash reconstruction. Waupaca County
Highway Department assisted with traffic control and detouring traffic. Waupaca Mobil Travel
Center assisted with removal of the vehicle.
No further information is being released at this time while the investigation is still ongoing.
