On Friday, September 6, 2019 the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with
local and State agencies, executed search warrants throughout Oconto County after
months of investigation. A group of individuals were arrested as they are believed to be
involved in the manufacture, sale and use of methamphetamine in our community. The
case is being prosecuted by the Oconto County District Attorney’s Office. This
investigation is ongoing, with additional arrests expected. Additional informational will
be released at a later time.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office is a member of the Northeast Tri-County Drug
Enforcement Group (NETDEG) and were assisted by agencies of NETDEG during this
investigation including the Forest County Sheriff’s Office, Shawano County Sheriff’s
Office and the Marinette Police Department. We were also assisted by the Wisconsin
Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Wisconsin State
Patrol. We appreciate the time and efforts put forth by these assisting agencies.
