On 9/3/2019 The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office received a Fraud complaint from an adult male who resides in Outagamie County. The victim reported he was contacted by an individual identifying as Chief Deputy Besaw from the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect demanded the victim pay $2,000 for an outstanding warrants by electronically exchanging money via gift cards. This warrant and his demand were completely fraudulent and the victim reported the incident to the actual Sheriff’s Office before making any payments. The phone numbers which the fraudulent demands came from were (920) 860-8122 and (920) 777-0669. The suspect also had a phone tree with extensions for Outagamie County Sheriff Kriewaldt and other command staff setup. The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office does not conduct business this way.
