Rules:
– Free to enter
– Contest is open to all business and non-profit organizations. Business is not required to be located within the Business Improvement District to participate; we encourage participation from all Shawano businesses.
– Scarecrow must be free-standing (not staked into ground).
– Participants have the option to display their scarecrow in front of their business or a location downtown.
– If a location downtown is preferred, please indicate on the entry form. Lindsay Johnson will contact you to coordinate a location to display your scarecrow.
– Submit entry form by September 23.
– Scarecrow can be setup September 30 – October 3. All scarecrows must be in place by October 3 at 6 p.m.
NEW THIS YEAR: Voting will take place via the Shawano Downtown Facebook page.
– Scarecrow entry photos will be posted on the Shawano Downtown Facebook page on Friday, October 4.
– Facebook followers will vote for their favorite entry by ‘liking’ the photo.
– Voting will close on Monday, October 7 at 10 a.m.
– Entry with the most likes will receive a traveling trophy and $25 Shawano Downtown gift certificate.
