Former Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon continues his holdout for a new contract with the L-A Chargers. The N-F-L Network reports the ex-Badger is willing to sit into into the regular season if he doesn’t get a new deal. Gordon plans to continue working out elsewhere until contract talks progress. He’s set to make five-point-six-million dollars in 2019, but wants a deal that places him among the top running backs in the league. He reportedly turned down an offer for ten-million dollars per season. Gordon is subject to fines for each training camp day and preseason game missed. The Chargers host the Seahawks tonight Saturday (9 P-M). Gordon won the Doak Walker award with the Badgers in 2014 after rushing for more than 25-hundred yards – the second most in N-C-A-A history.
