(Rib Mountain, WI) — The Natural Resources Board discussed the impact blue-green algae is having on Wisconsin during a Tuesday meeting at Rib Mountain State Park. Part of the discussion was a case in North Carolina where three dogs died just a few hours after playing in a pond covered by the algae. It can make people sick, too. The D-N-R says it has about 800 waterways listed as “impaired” under the Clean Water Act because the toxic algae grow there.
