Menominee County, Connecting Our Waters, the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance, and WAMSCO are partnering to host a shoreline tour of Legend Lake on August 27 th from 5:30-7:30. The tour will take on Wahtohsah and Skice Lakes and showcase Menominee County cost-sharing projects.
The event will start with registration at 5:30 with plans to leave from the boat launch at 6. The tour will work counterclockwise around the lake with plans to return to the landing around 7:30. Boats will be donated and captained by individuals from Menominee County, Legend Lake P&R District, and Legend Lake POA.
The projects highlighted will be a native plant shoreline restoration, rip rap installations due to severe wave undercutting, biolog installations due to wave action, and more! Come enjoy a sunset on Legend Lake while learning what can be done to improve the shoreline.
