
Wide receiver Jordy Nelson is retiring as a Green Bay Packer after eleven seasons in the N-F-L. Nelson signed a one-day contract to retire in a green and gold jersey. At a news conference today (Tuesday), he and said his body was okay but it was getting harder and harder to get ready for Sundays. Nelson says his oldest child said Green Bay will always be home because it’s where he spent the first eight years of his life. He said he decided to leave football to be with his famiy and didn’t want to move anymore. Nelson plans to help his brother on a Kansas farm. He is number-three in Packers history with 550 receptions, number-two in touchdown receptions with 63, and third in 100-yard receiving games with 25.
